WP7: Dissemination

WP7 (leader: Dr. Mekjavic) will focus on communicating the most in-depth scientific results of PlanHab to the wider community. These results will contribute to our understanding of the detrimental physiological changes that occur during, and persist after, long-duration human space flight.  With the new, beyond state-of-the-art information we will glean from the PlanHab studies, new countermeasures and technologies can be developed to compensate for the combined effects of low gravity and hypoxia exposure. In addition to space science, these findings will be valuable for life on Earth in the prevention and treatment of various disease states (e.g. obesity, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders, cardiovascular problems).

           OBJECTIVES

1: Dissemination of study results from each of the consortium partners

2: Establishment and maintenance of relationship with industrial partners for the eventual commercial exploitation of these            research results.

3: Training of researchers within and outside the consortium

4: Popularisation of Science and Technology Education from Kindergarten to High School and University levels
