Adam McDonnell


Adam McDonnell is a Young Investigator and PhD student at Jozef Stefan Institute under the supervision of Dr. Igor Mekjavic.  Adam completed his Master's degree at King's College London in Human and Applied Physiology.  He is currently investigating thermophysiological effects of hypoxia and inactivity.  Adam became involved in space research through the European Space Agency's topical team for metabolic biomarkers and his work at Dublin City University.  Adam has been involved in a number of industrial and laboratory-based studies during his time at IJS, including:  10-d hypoxic bedrest study "LunHab", Nassfeld ski study, Planica hiking study and Broadpeak Expedition Testing.
