Leja Dolenc Grošelj

Leja Dolenc Grošelj, MD, assoc. prof.: Head of Sleep Center in the Institute of Clinical Neurophysiology, University Medical Centre, Ljubljana, Slovenia, and assoc. prof., Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Dr. Dolenc Grošelj was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She was trained in Neurology at the Faculty of medicine, University of Ljubljana, did a clinical fellowship in UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, (London, UK) and obtained Diploma of Sleep and Wakefulness, (Paris, France) and Diploma of assistant in Neurology, at the Faculty of medicine, University of Montpellier (France). She was trained for sleep medicine in France (prof. Billiard). She is a specialist in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology and obtained PhD in Clinical Neuroscience, at Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana. She became assoc. prof. in 2009 at the University of Ljubljana. She created the Sleep Laboratory at the University Medical Center in Ljubljana in 1995, and is the Head of the Sleep Center. She is involved in many clinical and research projects in the field of sleep (narcolepsy, OSAS, RBD) and neuromuscular disorders and is the author of scientific publications on the topics of sleep disorders. Leja Dolenc Grošelj is the founder of Slovene Sleep Society and serves as President of the Society. Currently dr. Dolenc Grošelj is also the President of Slovenian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology.
